Electronic/Photonic Design Automation (EPDA) Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities
• Development of EPDA solutions based on integration of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and
Photonic Design Automation (PDA) tools for the following (and similar) applications:
*Design of transceivers and high-speed optoelectronic chips
*Optical fiber-based Ethernet (IEEE 802.3), e.g., 800GBASE-DR8, 800GBASE-SR8, 1.6TBASE.
*Short-reach and long-haul fiber-based and free-space-optics (FSO) transmission systems
• Preparing specifications and requirements, supporting the software development teams,
testing, documentation, and creation of application examples.
• Working with VPIphotonics partners in the EDA industry

Ihr Profil:

Skills & Experience
• Good knowledge of high speed electronics and optoelectronics.
• EDA platform: Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS)
*Transient & Convolution simulations
*Verilog-A models
*Harmonic balance
*S-parameters and X-parameters
*IBIS-AMI simulations
*Keysight System Design (SystemVue)
• PDA platform: VPIphotonics Design Suite or similar
*Optical transmission systems
*Photonic integrated circuits (based on SiP, InP, SiN, etc.)
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or physics.
• Experience in creating prototypes in Python.
• Solid writing and presentation skills in English.

• work in our software devel facility (Lithuania, Poland, Latvia), or our headquarters (Germany)
• be self-disciplined and motivated to work in a team
• combine office and remote work
• have a valid EU residence and work permit
