Within the Optics Cluster Berlin-Brandenburg, microsystems technology is one of six core focus areas. With around 40 companies and an excellent research infrastructure, Berlin-Brandenburg ranks among the strongest regions in Germany for microsystems technology. Beyond traditional application areas such as industry, automotive engineering, communications, and medicine, new fields have emerged in life sciences, building management, production technology, and energy efficiency.
