The project addresses the technological talent gap in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) with a special toolbox for promoting deep tech entrepreneurship—a set of readily available tools to inspire students and young researchers (S/R) to start a business. Deep tech innovations are expected to deliver transformative solutions to global challenges. A strong supply of DeepTech startups promotes innovation. Increased innovation in the economy offers better solutions for future crises. By inspiring potential startup founders and introducing and developing skills in the pre-startup phase, the toolbox increases the chances of success.
The tools are used in various configurations by actors that support technological entrepreneurship, such as business development organizations, sectoral agencies, universities, and research institutions. The toolbox is made available to other regions and technology areas.
Activities include a needs analysis of stakeholders, joint preparation of workshops to test the final solution, development of a final version of the toolbox based on the results, and wide dissemination of the project results. Feedback from participants will be incorporated into all phases of the toolbox's development to ensure high efficiency and applicability of the tools. Real-life testimonials, interactions, and role-playing games will be used to provide students with valuable insights and personal experiences. The implementation of the toolbox will prepare S/R to operate in each region and cooperate across countries.
