As an internationalization network, Phoenix PEN is supported by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Enterprises under the PfI program (Program for Internationalization). The project aims to initiate and support business-related and cross-border research and development collaborations between Berlin-based actors and partner regions in Poland, Spain, and the Netherlands in the field of optical technologies.

The initiative is carried out in close cooperation with partner organizations from academia and industry in the respective regions.

As part of the project, at least three delegation trips are planned and conducted.
