• The August Lichtstammtisch will be a highlight in two ways:

  • We’ll meet in the club room of the Zeiss Großplanetarium as part of the Long Night of Astronomy;
       colleagues from Litg BZ BRB and IALD Germany are cordially invited. Before and after the presentation, we’ll have the opportunity to explore the activities and exhibits offered by the Long Night of Astronomy.
  •    
    • Benedict Thiggins (formerly Huggins, legal scholar and co-author of BFN Papers 543 & 772) will present the aforementioned paper to us. It summarizes research findings that serve as the basis for the regulatory ordinance under Section 41 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG). We will gain first-hand insight into the background of environmental research and the legal framework for the RVO—our future legal basis for planning public street lighting.
